Polycab India Ltd., has appointed Pradipta Patro as its Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Vice President – Data Privacy. The move underscores the company’s continued focus on enhancing its cybersecurity framework and ensuring robust data protection practices amid an increasingly complex digital landscape.
In his new role, Patro will be responsible for driving Polycab’s enterprise-wide information security strategy, overseeing risk management, and ensuring compliance with evolving data privacy regulations. He will also lead initiatives aimed at safeguarding critical digital infrastructure and strengthening resilience against cyber threats.
He has over 20 years of experience in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital transformation. Patro brings with him extensive experience in cybersecurity, data privacy, and IT risk management, having held leadership positions across prominent organizations. Over the years, he has built a strong track record in implementing security frameworks, managing regulatory compliance, and enabling secure digital transformation.
Prior to joining Polycab India, he served as Head of Cyber Security and IT Platform at RPG Group, where he led enterprise-wide security initiatives. He has also held key leadership roles at Adani Group and Tata AIA Life Insurance.
His appointment comes at a time when Indian enterprises are accelerating their digital adoption, making cybersecurity and data protection key business priorities. Polycab’s decision to onboard a seasoned leader reflects its commitment to maintaining high standards of information security and customer trust.
