Two years after joining Nutanix as vice president of Asia-Pacific and Japan (APJ) Solution Engineering, Daryush Ashjari’s role has been expanded to include chief technology officer (CTO) responsibilities across the region.

Based in Sydney, Daryush leads a team of engineers across the APJ region and directs the company’s technical and solution development engagements with corporates and governments in the region.

In his expanded role as CTO, Daryush will be responsible for engineering, technical operations, and developing innovative solutions for today’s hybrid multicloud requirements. Additionally, he will lead c-level engagements across the region.

“I have a real passion for technology and business transformation, particularly the role hybrid multicloud plays in overcoming the most pressing technological challenges, Ashjari said. “From AI adoption and future-proofing, through to the rapid uptake of cloud-native applications, hybrid multicloud is increasingly playing a central role in IT strategies.”

An IT industry veteran, Daryush has more than 38 years of IT experience having worked with leading firms IBM, Novell, Cisco, Citrix, EMC, and McAfee. He is an accomplished electrical, electronic and computer science engineer. He holds multiple industry certifications and qualifications and is a certified Prosci Change Management Practitioner.
