Intel counts down to its 50th anniversary on July 18, 2018, it shared photos from its history. They show the company’s first years, its growth and how its products change lives worldwide.Intel also shared stories about its first 50 years as the golden anniversary starts.

In celebration of Intel’s 50th anniversary, the company recently flew 2,018 Intel Shooting Star drones over its Folsom, Calif., facility, setting a new Guinness World Records title for the most unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) airborne simultaneously, the company claims.
“Several years ago, we had an idea of flying drones forming the Intel logo over our corporate headquarters, and here we are doing just that. It really speaks to the innovative spirit that Intel was founded on 50 years ago,” says Anil Nanduri, vice president and general manager of Intel’s drone group.
Also in celebration of Intel’s 50th anniversary, the company is honoring employees and their families by flying 500 Intel Shooting Star drones over its corporate headquarters in Santa Clara, Calif., on July 18-22.
