US food giant WK Kellogg Co has warned employees and vendors that company data has been stolen in a data breach in 2024. Names and social security numbers, among other things, have been leaked.
Kellogg warns of this in an email, BleepingComputer reports. The attack is the work of the Clop ransomware group, which used a zero-day vulnerability in the file transfer software Cleo. In this way, they were able to gain access to Kellogg servers and steal data. The security incident was discovered on February 27, but already took place on December 4, 2024. .
