A vulnerability in Oracle E-Business Suite is being actively exploited by attackers, warns the U.S. Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). This vulnerability, known as Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF), could give attackers access to critical data.

The vulnerability in question is CVE-2025-61884, which Oracle published on October 11. The tech company itself has not yet confirmed that this vulnerability is being actively exploited. However, the American CISA (Center for Information Security and Security) is now issuing a warning .

No authentication required

The vulnerability is in the Oracle Configurator runtime. Attackers do not need to be authenticated to exploit the vulnerability. The vulnerability allows unauthorized individuals to access critical data or gain complete access to all Oracle Configurator data. The vulnerability’s severity has been rated 7.5 out of 10.

It’s no surprise that the vulnerability is being actively exploited. It was previously revealed that the patch Oracle released to close the vulnerability blocked an exploit distributed by the ShinyHunters and Scattered Lapsus$ groups.
