Connectivity solutions provider TP-Link India have announced a significant expansion of its footprint in the country. TP-Link has unveiled its first incubation centre in India, co-located with its new headquarters in Mumbai. The centre is designed to drive innovation, facilitate partner training, and provide hands-on demonstrations of enterprise solutions. The facility was inaugurated by Shri Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Maharashtra’s Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. Further strengthening its India-first approach, TP-Link is also setting up a state-of-the-art Global Capability Centre (GCC) for R&D in Bengaluru, slated to go live in the coming weeks.

As part of its focused growth plan for India, the company will broaden its service centre network particularly across Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities aiming to establish 20 more service centres within the next year. This expansion will position TP-Link India among the largest in terms of nationwide after-sales infrastructure.

Additionally, TP-Link India plans to increase its headcount by 30% over the next year to support its growing operations and innovation pipeline. A key pillar of the company’s innovation strategy is the upcoming R&D Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Bengaluru, which will drive product innovation for India and global markets. The GCC will focus on firmware development, AI/ML applications, and advanced networking solutions across TP-Link’s portfolio, including its enterprise solutions brand, Omada.

The new incubation centre is dedicated to nurturing young talent and fostering innovation in next-gen connectivity technologies. This centre will welcome students, developers, and tech enthusiasts from across India and will provide them with the tools, connectivity, and network to aid their endeavours.

“It is great to see TP-Link India encourage a culture of research, with the launch of their incubation centre for students in the new headquarters in Mumbai. We hope that students will benefit from this incubation centre and help build a truly digital India,” said Shri Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Minister for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of Maharashtra.

“We believe that empowering the next generation of change-makers is key to sustainable growth and societal progress. By investing in this centre, we are investing in the future — a future driven by creativity, collaboration, and bold thinking. We invite startups, academic institutions, industry partners, and the broader community to join us in this journey of innovation. Together, we can shape a more dynamic and inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem,” said Sanjay Sehgal, CEO and Managing Director, TP-Link India.
