Recognized for building smarter, connected stores that enable seamless shopping experience for customers

AI-powered services help retailers transform stores into high performing growth engines, improving sales, productivity, and customer experience

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has been ranked No. 1 in Everest Group’s Top 50 Store Services Providers 2026 report. This global ranking recognises companies that deliver services for retailer stores. The recognition is a testament to TCS’ strong AI-led capabilities that help retailers transform physical stores into intelligent, connected, and experience-led ecosystems that enable seamless, unified commerce operations.

Everest Group is a leading global research firm. In this assessment, it evaluated store service providers across key dimensions such as back-end management, store operations, and in-store experience, with capabilities spanning inventory management, point-of-sale modernization, retail media networks, and customer engagement.

Abhilasha Sharma, Practice Director, Everest Group, said, “Retailers are reimagining physical stores as monetizable platforms, with investments increasingly centered on unified commerce, smart-store enablement, frictionless checkout, retail media, and AI-enabled immersive shopping experiences. TCS demonstrates strong breadth across the store services value chain, supported by its global retail scale, domain contextualization, IP-led portfolio, including TCS OmniStore™ and TCS Optumera™. These capabilities helped TCS earn recognition as the top provider in Everest Group’s Top 50™ Store Services Providers 2026 report.”

Krishnan Ramanujam, President, Consumer Business Group, TCS, said, “Physical stores are being reinvented as intelligent, adaptive, and monetizable assets at the center of modern retail. Our leadership position in the report is a testimony to the strength of our comprehensive retail, AI advisory services, and differentiated IP portfolio. This uniquely positions us to help retailers transform store networks into perceptive, intelligent growth engines that deliver stronger margins, higher productivity, and better in-store experiences.”

TCS’ AI-powered, end-to-end store transformation services span agentic store operations, workforce management, POS modernization, merchandising, retail media networks, and experiential stores. Across more than 100 global clients spanning grocery, specialty, apparel, quick-service restaurant, and mass retail, these transformations have delivered a double-digit increase in sales, an 85% increase in productivity, and a 5–10% increase in revenue and margin.

Backed by deep retail domain expertise and proprietary AI platforms such as TCS OmniStore and TCS Optumera, TCS helps retailers scale AI-led store execution. Its strong partner ecosystem spans store service providers across robotics, RFID, IoT, computer vision, and retail media. TCS also has robust platform partnerships with AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, NVIDIA Omniverse, and several others.

TCS’ top ranking in Everest Group’s Top 50 Store Services Providers 2026 report underscores TCS’ continued investments in AI-led retail transformation guided by Perceptive Retail™, a strategic concept that empowers retailers to thrive in a fast-evolving market with foresight, precision, and agility. It harnesses the interplay of three factors: reasoning-based decision intelligence, nuanced insights from multimodal data, and the autonomy of machine agents to generate intelligent choices for smarter decisions and better business outcomes.
