IBM and Yotta today announced the general availability of the Sovereign Agentic AI Platform for Indian organisations. It combines IBM’s enterprise AI technology with Yotta’s sovereign AI cloud and platform capabilities. The platform is designed to enable organisations to deploy AI agents at scale while keeping data, operations and governance controls within India.

Built using IBM watsonx Orchestrate and deployed on Yotta’s Shakti Cloud, the platform offers organisations an integrated foundation to deploy, run and govern enterprise AI agents. IBM watsonx Orchestrate is the agentic control plane that gives organizations a way to secure, govern, and manage AI agents as adoption scales across the enterprise. Shakti Cloud provides the compute, GPU infrastructure, networking, security, and operational capabilities required for enterprise AI workloads. In addition, Shakti Studio, Yotta’s AI platform for model development and inference, enables organisations to explore, fine-tune, deploy and run open-source and proprietary AI models.

“With regulations evolving in India, digital sovereignty and open-source models are becoming a defining requirement for organisations as they scale AI from pilots to production. The priority is no longer just what AI can do, but how securely, transparently and compliantly it can be deployed,” said Sandip Patel, Managing Director, IBM India and South Asia. “Together we are helping Indian organisations build and manage AI agents with critical data, inference and governance controls anchored in India, while creating a trusted path to business value.”

“India’s AI journey requires organisations to have control not only over their data, but also over the infrastructure, compute, models, inference and operations that power AI. Yotta’s Shakti Cloud and Shakti Studio provide this sovereign AI foundation, while IBM brings its enterprise AI and agentic AI capabilities to help organisations move from experimentation to production,” said Sunil Gupta, Co-Founder, MD & CEO, Yotta Data Services. “Together, IBM and Yotta are bringing an end-to-end sovereign AI stack to Indian organisations, combining sovereign AI infrastructure, AI models and inference with enterprise agentic AI, governance and compliance.”

Available through Yotta’s Panvel and Greater Noida cloud regions, organisations can use the platform across a range of workflows, including security operations, document processing, and HR automation and many more.
