Elastic has named Atul Ahuja as its new Area Vice President and General Manager for India.
Atul announced his appointment via LinkedIn post he steps into the role at what he describes as a pivotal moment in his career. Drawing on conversations with business leaders across India and beyond, he highlighted a growing shift in the industry — from debating whether to invest in AI, to grappling with why AI investments aren’t yet delivering results.
According to Ahuja, the root cause is largely on data. Enterprise AI systems frequently fall short because they lack access to the right context — logs, documents, applications, and institutional knowledge that remain untapped across organisational systems.
Elastic’s core proposition, he noted, is to connect AI to real enterprise data without the need for large-scale data movement or duplication, enabling businesses to move from pilot projects to measurable outcomes.
In his new capacity, Ahuja said he is ready in taking up the new role and excited to lead his talented India team and driving the next wave of the AI revolution by collaborating with partner ecosystem.
