Prakash Dharmani has joined Okaya Power Group as its new Chief Information Officer (CIO).
With over 33 years of experience across industries such as petrochemicals, refining, specialty packaging, utilities, and logistics, Prakash has led large-scale ERP, CRM, SCM, and cloud-based solutions across multiple geographies. He has also held 15+ years of CIO experience at Essar Group, EPL Limited, and Erba Diagnostics, consistently driving digital transformation and IT innovation. Prakash holds a Chemical Engineering degree from Pune University and an Management Program from IIM Bangalore. His expertise extends to AI and Machine Learning (IIT Kanpur), and he is a trained Cyber Security Strategist from the Data Security Council of India. He also holds certifications as a Lead Auditor & ISO Implementation expert from LRQA, Mumbai. His contributions have been widely recognized, earning him accolades such as the CIO 100 & Hall of Fame Awards, India’s Best 50 CIOs, and advisory roles for INDUS SAP India. At Okaya Power, Prakash will lead the IT function, focusing on digital transformation, cybersecurity, and innovation to drive business efficiency and growth.
