While the coronavirus lockdown is set to be lifted to May 3, you can now buy mobile phones on Flipkart.

E-commerce player Flipkart has started to take orders for mobile phones. While the coronavirus lockdown is set to be lifted to May 3, you can now buy mobile phones on Flipkart. As far as deliveries are concerned, it is expected that Flipkart will deliver mobile phones after April 20 as per the government regulations.

Flipkart’s mobiles category is officially open for orders across India except for West Bengal and Karnataka. Flipkart is offering regular cash back offers along with its mobile protection plan to buyers. The delivery time for Delhi is mostly in the range of 10 to 12 days for most of the smartphones.

During the first 21 days of the lockdown, e-commerce platforms were allowed to sell only essential goods such as food, pharmaceuticals and medical devices.

The government recently issued guidelines that allowed e-commerce players to start delivering both essential and non-essential items during the extended lockdown period from April 20. It is expected that firms such as Amazon, Flipkart, Snapdeal and Paytm and others can move towards normalcy in their operations.
