HCLTech announced the launch of an AI-powered nano Global Capability Center (GCC) offering, built on Amazon Web Services (AWS), to help enterprises move from AI experimentation to high-value business outcomes.

The nano GCC model is part of HCLTech’s GCC 360 solution suite and combines HCLTech’s GCC advisory capabilities and its AI platforms including AI Force.

The model is designed for two enterprise archetypes:

  • Established GCCs already operating in-country on largely conventional work that need a non-disruptive vehicle to drive AI-led transformation through a hub-and-spoke model anchored from HCLTech’s Lucknow campus.
  • Mid-market enterprises without an in-country presence that are cautious about entering a new geography and want a low-risk platform to accelerate their AI journey.

In both use cases, it enables organizations to begin with a targeted scope, establish AI-native operating models and reduce setup cycles, while demonstrating value and scaling progressively.

Unlike traditional GCC models built around a broad scope and scale, the nano GCC model is designed around compact, product-centric squads, AI-enabled workflows and a land-and-expand approach. The offering spans AI-native engineering, autonomous IT operations, advanced data and analytics, and intelligent business operations, with responsible AI governance built in. HCLTech leads the operating model design and implementation, while AWS provides joint go-to-market support and access to agentic AI services including Amazon Bedrock, Kiro, and AWS Transform, to accelerate delivery.

The nano GCC offering forms part of HCLTech’s broader global strategy, with the Asia Pacific (APAC) serving as the first phase of the rollout. It will be delivered through HCLTech’s India-based delivery organization and supported by the Center of Excellence in Lucknow, providing access to India’s deep pool of technology and engineering talent.

“The nano GCC model is at an inflection point. What began as a cost and talent strategy is becoming the primary engine for enterprise AI capability building. The question for most organizations is no longer whether to build AI-native operations, but how to do it without the drag of legacy setup models. The nano GCC is our answer to that urgency,” said Kiran Cherukuri, Executive Vice President & Global GCC Practice Leader, HCLTech.

“By combining HCLTech’s GCC expertise and AI capabilities with the scalability, security and agentic AI services of AWS, the nano GCC offering gives enterprises a faster, lower-risk path to building AI-native operations. It enables organizations to start with focused use cases, demonstrate measurable value and scale confidently as their business needs evolve,” said Prabhakar Appana, Senior Vice President and Global Head of the AWS Ecosystem Business Unit, HCLTech.

“Enterprises across Asia Pacific want to build AI-native operations with speed and confidence. AWS provides cloud infrastructure, agentic AI services and DevOps capabilities that power HCLTech’s nano GCC offering. This helps organizations move from pilot to production and scale as their business demands evolve,” said Amit Anshu, Head of GSI and IT Business, AWS India and South Asia.
