Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has announced the launch of its Global Value & Innovation Centres (GVIC) business unit, aimed at helping enterprises build AI-native Global Capability Centres (GCCs) and transform existing ones into value-driven, innovation-led operating models.

To lead this initiative, TCS has appointed Soumen Roy as Head of GVIC. With over three decades of experience, Soumen has held various leadership roles across industries and geographies, most recently serving as Country Head for TCS Canada. He will report to K. Krithivasan, CEO and Managing Director of TCS.

GCCs are rapidly evolving from traditional delivery hubs into strategic enterprise assets that own products, platforms, and business outcomes. As AI and digital technologies redefine enterprise priorities, GCCs are expected to play a central role in driving innovation, modernization, and measurable value. In response to rising global investments in GCCs, TCS is introducing this Business Unit with a comprehensive, end-to-end model designed for the AI era.

TCS GVIC provides flexible, lifecycle-based services that support clients from strategy and setup through to scaled operations and AI-driven transformation. The offering stands out through TCS’ global scale, proven execution capabilities, and an AI-native operating model that integrates AI into the design, build, and management of GCCs. At its core is TCS’ AI-native GVIC framework, which combines a Human + AI Operating Model, AI-ready data and cloud foundations, enterprise platforms, responsible AI framework, future-ready talent models and co-innovation ecosystems such as TCS COIN and TCS Pace. This approach enables organizations to accelerate time-to-value, access future-ready talent, enhance resilience, and align centers with broader enterprise goals.

K Krithivasan, CEO and MD, TCS, said “With TCS GVIC, we are bringing together TCS’ deep experience across the GCC lifecycle with our strengths in AI, engineering, talent, and operations to build high-impact, future-ready global centers that deliver sustained business value for clients.”
