The EY organization and Microsoft Corp. have announced a major expansion of their alliance, committing over $1 billion across five years and introducing a new initiative designed to help organizations scale AI and achieve measurable, enterprise-wide results.
This initiative combines Microsoft’s Forward Deployed Engineers (FDE) with EY’s industry specialists to accelerate AI adoption through advanced change management and delivery models. The effort is powered by Microsoft’s FDE AI-native Hypervelocity Engineering approach, enabling faster deployment and greater business impact.
The initiative marks a significant milestone in the longstanding EY–Microsoft alliance, reflecting a shared commitment to delivering client-focused, AI-driven transformation across Tax, Assurance, Consulting, and EY-Parthenon.
Clients will be enabled to evolve into Frontier Firms that scale effectively and generate sustained value through workforce upskilling, embedded change management, and continuous optimization of agentic AI transformation. EY and Microsoft will deploy integrated teams of engineers and business consultants aligned by industry to support this journey.
Together, they will co-develop and deliver secure, industry-specific AI solutions focused on each client’s highest-value opportunities. This approach allows organizations to accelerate AI adoption while continuously optimizing operations to drive long-term business impact.
Janet Truncale, EY Global Chair and CEO, said “Together with Microsoft, EY is supporting clients to unlock value through rapid deployment of AI at scale. With access to a single, integrated team, clients will have at their disposal both Microsoft’s market-leading engineering depth, alongside EY teams’ deep industry knowledge and change management capabilities. By combining people and innovation in this next phase of the Alliance, clients will be empowered to realize the transformative power of agentic AI within the enterprise.”
